There are currently five separate primary SEGP connection points: Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, & Lubbock, managed by UT Austin, North Texas GigaPOP, UT El Paso, Southeast Texas GigaPOP, and Texas Tech U, respectively. Soon there will be three connections to Abilene: 1 Gbps serving Austin, El Paso, Houston; 155 Mbps serving Dallas; 155 Mbps serving Lubbock. Independent School Districts & Community Colleges are, by and large, on their own to identify a connection path to Abilene. Accordingly, questions about "our SEGP" simply cannot be answered in a straightforward way. | | Other services offered (video streaming, web conferencing, etc.) | | Last updated by Daniel Updegrove on Fri, 03 Mar 2006 00:00:00 EST. |
