K-12 School DistrictAll school districts and higher-ed institutions will be connected via Gigabit Ethernet by summer 2006. By year-end 2006, over 300 individual schools will also be connected via Gigabit Ethernet.
Library SystemThe Utah State Legislature is examining the feasibility of placing video conferencing rooms in public libraries for purposes of conducting public meetings, legilslative hearings, county commission meetings where distances are involved, etc.The above numbers reflect the total number of County Library Systems connected to UEN, and not individual municipal libraries.

Public Radio, TV, or Streaming MediaKUED-TV will be working to stream local documentaries using Quicktime MPEG4 format in the near future. KUEN-TV is working on streaming media via a CPB grant using datacasting technology to Youth-in-Custody centers across the state.UEN is hosting a Video-on-Demand educational video service called E-media.
