Overview

A robust wireless system connects the research vessel Neeskay to Internet2 to transmit videoconferencing and data in real time. Prototype sessions have been very successful, and we are seeking funding for permanent high definition conferencing equipment to make this a more accessable resource. Use of the Neeskay for educational programming is somewhat seasonal and weather dependant. Temps in Milwaukee must be above 36'F for the safety of our team.
